October 20, 2020. Tory Lanez got on Instagram live today for about a half an hour to finally addressed the issue revolving him and his new criminal charges with rapper Megan the Stallion. He told his fans that the reason it took him so long to speak out on the incident was not because he didn’t want to, but was advised by legal counsel due to the the fact it was unclear if and what charges would be filed against him. He has still has not fully given his side of the story, but he did analyze the situation and address his friends and fans by reminding them that gave everyone quarantine radio this past spring, and that everyone was rocking with him back then. Suddenly someone makes an accusation, and now he is seen as a bad person by millions with nothing but negativity toward him, without hearing from him or learning what he feels are the true facts from the case.
In his analysis of the situation, Tory questions why Megan got back in the car with him if he actually shot her, was fearful that a police officer would shoot her is she was already on a stretcher with the police, and how she was able to fool doctors and police to not recognize fresh bullet wounds. He began closing by ensuring the listeners that he is not angry with Megan and feels that she was pressured and misguided to change her story. Meagan appears to not agree with Tory and immediately responds on twitter saying “this N… genuinely crazy.”

Tory also addressed the backlash he took for dropping his latest album on the same day of the Breeona Taylor verdict. He talks about how people say they don’t want to hear the same drug, sex and violence rap, but when he gives real pain, people are not receptive. He does recognize that he came off insensitive, he tells everyone that not only is that his mothers birthday, but her death anniversary and he wanted to dedicate the album to her as he too grieved.
