The Charlotte native rapper Da baby was the most nominated artist of the night for the 2020 BET Hip Hop awards and did not win one award.

Da baby was nominated for Best Hip Hop Video for “Bop” and “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Ricch, Song of the Year for “Bop” and “Rockstar,” Hip Hop Album of the Year for Blame It on Baby (2020) and Kirk (2019), Best Collaboration for his effort with Roddy and Jack Harlow’s “Whats Poppin,” which also features Tory Lanez and Lil Wayne; Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Hip Hop Artist of the Year and Impact Track for the Black Lives Matter version of his record “Rockstar.”

Social media weighed in on their opinions of the night and views were shocking and some agreed with the lose and other felt the artist was robbed.

And after all the comments and opinions Da Baby stepped into the Shaderoom comments and address everyone.

The artist commented “ion think baby trippin @bet lobe Baby, congrats to the winners. #Welldeserved.”

He is in high spirits regarding the losses and has also been nominated 4 times for the American Music Awards.
