Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God made comments in agreement with guest REASON, a hip-hop artist who stated men should get more credit for being faithful in a relationship.

In the middle of the artist’s rant on relationships, he brought up his view then Charlamagne Tha God stated “I haven’t cheated since October 2016, and that sh*t feels like being sober.” The show then goes into detail saying cheating feeds the ego, and Charlamagne said “I don’t have the wounded ego anymore, I feel more whole and healed.” .

Dj envy then brings in a different perspective saying “I think the industry does it. When you’re a kid and you’re looking at all these videos and all your rappers, this is what you see. so when you get into that world it’s like ‘I’m here’ then you realize damn I’m about to ruin the best thing I have over something that doesn’t mean nothing.” And REASON agrees to say it’s a culture thing that has been driven by sports, hip-hop, and music.

Charlamagne said the misogynistic lyrics influence the views on relationships and cheating in the interview and says “that misogynistic over the beat is incredible!” then the conversation turns into the influence of music now about women who have transitioned to making the same content as men.
